God has perfect timing

Last week our Urologist gave me the name of another patient's mother. He said that her daughter had been to the bowel clinic at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and she may have some information that would be helpful.

We had the chance to speak yesterday and her daughter has exactly what Ashley has, Sacral Agenesis. I can't believe that I found a sweet lady with a daughter only 1 1/2 years older that lives 30 minutes from my house.

We talked on the phone for quite a while. She has been through everything we are in the midst of right now. She had wonderful recommendations for me and even suggested some different Doctors.

A few hours later, I received a call from the nurse at CCH. She reviewed Ashley's records over the phone and asked if there were any other medical questions that we would like addressed when we are there.

This week, the insurance liaison from CCH will be contacting our insurance company to get permission for us to travel out of state for treatment. Please pray that the insurance company will have favor on us and let us leave the state.

At this point, I think Scott and I are both convinced that no matter what, we have to go. If the insurance company won't pay, we will have to come up with another solution.

After speaking to this mom today, I believe that the program Ashley could undergo could possibly change her life.

I'll let you know when we hear something.
